人間の生命に宿るという偉大な力と
宇宙の深淵なる不可思議さと
社会の複雑さと不安定さを併せ持った構造とを
精神の動体視力でもって見つめ
そこに
つなぎ合わさっている事象の本質を
詩にしていく
国境を超え
時代を超え
イデオロギーを超えて
人間に通じていくものがあるはずである

What a Poem Is

(Composed on Dec. 11, 2015)

The great power said to dwell within human life,
the profound and unfathomable mystery of the universe,
and the structure that embodies both
the complexity and instability of society—
these are gazed upon
with the dynamic vision of the mind.

From there,
the essence of interconnected phenomena
is shaped into poetry.

Crossing borders,
crossing eras,
and crossing ideologies,
there must be something within it
that speaks to humanity.

この詩に込めた思い

この詩には、詩という営みを「人間・宇宙・社会」を貫く洞察として捉える姿勢を込めた。
詩とは感情の表現だけではなく、
精神の動体視力でもって世界の根源へ迫る作業であり、
複数の層で重なり合う事象の本質を言葉でつかみとろうとする行為だと考えている。

詩は国境や時代、イデオロギーを超える。
その本質は「人間」そのものに通じる普遍性であり、
詩が持つ力を信じる姿勢そのものが、この作品の核になっている。

Thoughts Behind the Poem

This poem expresses the view that writing poetry is an act of penetrating the foundations of “the human being, the universe, and society.”
A poem is not merely an expression of emotion;
it is an attempt to approach the root of the world
with a kind of spiritual kinetic vision—
to grasp the essence of layered and interwoven phenomena
and render them into language.

A poem crosses borders, eras, and ideologies.
Its essence resonates with the human being itself.
Belief in the enduring power of poetry is the core of this work.

我々が為す社会の活動の
いや為さざるとも
その出発点と帰着点が
別物になるのである
目的が手段にすり替えられている訳である

だが
我々はそのことに関心を寄せない
関心を寄せさせないようにもされている

In the activities we undertake in society—
or even in those we fail to undertake—
the point of departure
and the point of arrival
often become different things.

This is how
a purpose is quietly replaced
by its own means.

Yet,
we take no interest in that shift,
and we are made
not to take interest in it.

この詩に込めた思い

この詩では、社会の中で目的と手段がすり替わっていく構造への疑念を描いた。
本来の目的がいつの間にか見失われ、
気づけば手段そのものが目的のように扱われてしまう——
その過程は日常的でありながら、多くの人に意識されない。

さらに、私たち自身がその“すり替え”に無関心でいること、
そして無関心でいるよう仕向けられている構造そのものが、
この詩の核心である。

Thoughts Behind the Poem

This poem explores a distrust toward the way purposes and means become subtly reversed within society.
What was meant to be the original goal is forgotten,
and the means gradually take its place—
a process so common that it often goes unnoticed.

The deeper issue is our own indifference to this shift,
as well as the societal mechanisms that encourage
or engineer that indifference.
This is the central concern of the poem.
