心を無視して生きることはできないのです
強い心
美しい心だけではないのが心です
醜い心
卑しい心もあるのです
見なかったことにしたいのですが
そうはいかないのです
心を無視して生きることは
強さでも 賢さでもないのです
惨めな自分をそのまま抱きしめ 慈しみ
可能性を信じていきたいと思うのです
とても小さな一歩でいいのです
その一歩を踏み出したのは自分です
自分を信じようとする自分が踏み出したのです
人はその一歩で本当の光をやがて思い出すのです
絶対的光です
地獄も余すところなく照らし
まばゆい光が集まった可能性の宝処へ導くのです
誰もが一度は
自分の心から逃げたくなる
痛みに耐えられず
自分を閉じこめようとする
けれど 心を閉ざした場所に
幸福の芽は育たない
心は大地のようなものです
雨に打たれ 泥に沈んでも
その中でしか 根は張ることができないからです
怒りも 嫉妬も 孤独も
生きるための力になるのです
不思議な力を知ったとき
人は 自分を最も信頼し
他者を最も受け入れ信じ始めるのです
強さとは 痛みを消すことではなく
痛みの意味を求めながら
同時に
いま生きていることに感動することです
その感動は 一時的なもので終わるでしょうか
醜さを知りながら
なお 信じて生きようとする本然の心
その心こそが
人間のいちばん深い場所で
最強の味方としてしっかり支えているのです

You Cannot Live Ignoring the Heart
You cannot live
while ignoring your heart
The heart is not made
only of strength and beauty
It also holds ugliness
and small, unworthy desires
We may wish
to look away from it
but it will not allow that
To ignore the heart
is neither strength
nor wisdom
Embrace the miserable self
with tenderness
and believe in the possibility within
Even the smallest step is enough
That step was taken by you
by the self
that chose to believe in you
Through that step
you will one day remember
the true light
an absolute light
that illuminates even the depths of hell
and guides you
to the treasury of gathered radiance
the place of all possibilities
Everyone at least once
wants to escape from their own heart
Unable to bear the pain
we try to shut ourselves away
But in the place
where the heart is closed
no seed of happiness can grow
The heart is like the earth
Beaten by rain
buried in mud
and yet
only there
can roots take hold
Anger jealousy loneliness
all become powers to live
When one comes to know
that mysterious strength
one begins to trust oneself most deeply
and begins to believe in others as well
True strength is not
to erase pain
but to seek its meaning
and at the same time
to be moved
by the very act of being alive now
Can that feeling
ever truly fade away
To know one’s ugliness
and still choose to live with faith
That original heart
is the deepest part of being
the strongest ally
that quietly sustains us

この詩に込めた思い
この詩は、心の奥にある声を取り戻すために書いた。
人は誰もが、強さと弱さ、美しさと醜さのあいだで揺れながら生きている。
その矛盾を消そうとすると、心は少しずつ疲れてしまう。
けれど、痛みや迷いを抱えたまま歩くことの中にも静かな輝きがあると信じたい。
